Game Notes:
- Blah blah revenge game blah blah no one cares. Rivalry though, yes. Bruins/Habs games are always absurd and ridiculous and fun - let's hope tonight is no exception.
- The Canadiens have had a decent start to the season, with their only loss coming in a 7-1 battering by Tampa Bay. Relatedly, I am scared as hell of Tampa this year, and you should be too probably.
- The Bruins are currently undefeated in the Simon Gagne era and I think that's beautiful.
- Last year, three of the four Bruins/Habs games were the second game of a back-to-back for Montreal. This year it's Boston's turn apparently. As we saw against the Red Wings last week, the Bruins struggled with speed coming off a back-to-back - Montreal would be best served to go with quickness over toughness on their bottom six. Will they do this, or will they try to match with "grit"? Bruins fans should hope it's the latter.
NEVER FORGET:
Get fiyahd up, Boston. It's the damn Habs.
Last Game in Fancy Stats
The Bruins aren't failing for lack of trying, here. They outshot Detroit 39-20 last night. They only allowed 20 SOG through 65 minutes!
