In their words: Bruins vs. Sharks, 10/21

Read what the Bruins and Sharks had to say about last night's 5-3 comeback win for the good guys.

Brad Marchand, with a vivid description of his goal.

"Krug passed to Looch who passed to me and I shot. It went in."

Milan Lucic, on the team's recent performances.

"We made some smart decisions in some important areas and it just seems like things are starting to head in the right direction. You go back to that Detroit game last Wednesday where we really wanted to turn things around...and I think it’s rolling along here."

Lucic on Seth Griffith's first NHL goal.

"I remember getting my first goal and how much it meant and how special it was. It was great to see him finally get it."

Griffith on his first goal and subsequent celebration.

"It was great. I’ve had a couple chances the past few games so it’s great to get the first one out of the way. It was just my first one so I had to do something a little crazy, I guess."

Chris Kelly on Griffith's goal.

"You get goose bumps. It never gets old seeing someone score their first goal and how excited they are. I think it brings a lot of us back to when we scored our first goal, so well deserved, and it couldn’t come at a better time. It was a big goal."

Tuukka Rask on the win.

"We played a solid game. The second period was a good period for us.  A couple let downs there, and we still bounced back after that. Good character win and I think that’s exactly what the team needed right now."

Rask on Griffith's goal.

"Well he plays on the first line so it’s about time he scores, right?"

Torey Krug on playing with Dennis Seidenberg.

"I thought it was good. I thought we kept things simple. A couple communication issues that we’ve got to sort out, but we’ll get better."

Sharks coach Todd McLellan on Logan Couture.

"I thought [he] had his best game of the season.  Eight or ten shots on goal and was dangerous all the time.

Joe Thornton on his team's loss.

"The game just went back and forth...and you know we thought we had it.  We had a good chance on the four-minute power play in the end we just didn’t bury it...tough game to lose."
