This Sunday, at 3pm Eastern, the New England Revolution will be playing the LA Galaxy for the MLS Cup, the championship trophy for MLS. The game is in LA or else I'd try to go (flights were just too damn expensive). Anyhow, those of you who watched the World Cup will recognize at least a couple faces. The big mid-season signing was Jermaine Jones, hero of the 2014 USMNT and the 2014 NERevs. Jermaine has turned the Revs, already doing okay due to the efforts of Lee "M.V.Lee" Nguyen (pronounced "win"), into a contender for the first time in a while.

The Revs have been to the MLS Cup 3 sorry, 4 times (2002, 2005, 2006, 2007) before and won none of them, so I'm sure Bob Kraft would like to see a winner finally. Between the Patriots and Revolution, he's riding a 5-championship losing streak. Don't worry though, he's getting the helicopter permits worked out to be able to see the Revs play and then also see the Patriots.

There are viewing parties around New England, so go to one if you get the chance. You can and should find out more about the Revs over at The Bent Musket.

What's on tap, y'all? Is the world ending?
