Game Notes:

  • Oh good, the Panthers now employ the brother of noted poopgate all-star Kevin Hayes. I had almost forgotten.
  • Will tonight be Tom Gilbert's last chance to showcase himself to Chiarelli and Co. ahead of a potential trade?
  • As tonight is the last Bruins/Panthers home game of the season, and Tim Thomas' contract expires after this season, this could be the last game Tim Thomas ever plays at the Garden. Bruins fans should give him a nice sendoff.
  • The Panthers are 3-7-0 in their last 10 games, but they are coming off a 5-3 win over the Islanders on Sunday.
  • The Panthers' CEO Michael Yormark also recently announced that he's leaving the team.
  • Florida also recently acquired Brandon Pirri from the Chicago Blackhawks, because their GM is physically unable to trade with ANY OTHER TEAM. Dammit, Tallon.
  • No word on which Bruins goalie will get the start tonight, but it would not be a surprise to see Chad Johnson. March is a heavy month for the Bruins, might as well spell Rask a bit before playoffs.
