Game Notes:

  • We may actually get some line mixing for the Bruins today. David Krejci has "a cold" and Carl Soderberg's wife is having "a baby", so neither or both of them could be out of the lineup. Ryan Spooner has been recalled.
  • Pavel Datsyuk could make his return tonight. Oh boy oh boy. NOPE. Guess it's up to Gustav Nyquist Pride Of UMaine to score all the goals tonight.
  • THE SMITHS ARE BROTHERS AND THIS IS AN NBC GAME. It's not quite "the Staals are brothers" territory but there's potential here.
  • Detroit is up by one point on Columbus in the wild card race, and CBJ are up by one point on Toronto, who are up by one point on Washington. The Bruins could easily end up facing any of these four teams in a few weeks, so - let's consider tonight's game a round-1 preview.
  • WIIM are a bunch of jerks.

Remember "losing?" what a strange concept.
