With the 106th overall pick, the Bruins have selected defenseman Emil Johansson of HV71 in the Swedish Elite League.
It is actually crazy how the Bruins went from having zero Swedes anywhere in the system to having about a zillion of them.
From his Elite Prospects profile:
Johansson is a mid-sized blueliner who moves the puck well. He's not tall but does have some strength and skates well with good overall mobility which aids his puck moving talents. He keeps his head up and reads the play well. (August 2013)
He had two goals and seven assists through 42 games for HV71's U-20 team last season.
Hockey Prospects touts him as one of the best skaters in this draft class.
