Pittsburgh's own Matt Bartkowski has signed a deal with the Boston Bruins, skipping the arbitration hearing they had scheduled for later this month. He's signed for 1 year, 1.25 million, which is a good deal for the kid. With this signing, the defensive depth chart probably looks something like:
- Zdeno Chara
- Dougie Hamilton
- Johnny Boychuk
- Dennis Seidenberg
- Torey Krug
- Matt Bartkowski
- Zach Trotman (last player cut from camp last year)
- David Warsofsky
- Kevan Miller
- Adam McQuaid
Give or take. How would you arrange these guys into pairings?
