Following a busy weekend, the Bruins take a breather until Thursday evening.

• Panthers, Jets, WHATEVER. During the Bruins vs. Islanders game, there was some confusion on the Barclays Center scoreboard.[BarDown]


• Despite a late night of travel, the Bruins had a jump in their steps yesterday. Thanks to Jonas Gustavsson having played in Montreal , Tuukka Rask was sharp against the Islanders.[TheBostonGlobe]


• Claude Julien sliced and diced the lines, even splitting up (gasp!) Patrice Bergeron and Brad Marchand for stretches. Of note in Friday's loss, Zach Trotman returned to the lineup and the Bruins actually won a coach's challenge![BostonHerald]


• The Bruins lost their composure and the game on Saturday to the Canadiens in the waning minutes. At least the Habs fans seated nearby celebrated Frank Vatrano's goal along with his father in the stands.[WEEI]
