  • We may not see old friend Steven Kampfer play Saturday for the Panthers, he was injured on Thursday evening.[CBSSports]

  • A former assistant coach of the Tampa Bay Lightning is making a big difference both behind the bench and around campus at a Colorado private school.[TheNewYorkTimes]

  • The rise of engineered sports drinks and individualized smoothies serve a growing market in hockey, and apparently the US Women's team focuses on one vitamin for a very good reason.[SBNation]

  • Speaking of concussions, it isn't just the NHL players that are quietly suffering...[TheGuardian]

  • Annual Non Sequitur: Ken Stabler and the 1970's era Oakland Raiders were a big part of my formative years. Treat yourself to a long read on the quarterback said to have inspired the Seth Maxwell character in "North Dallas Forty."[SBNation]
