WATCH: Roberto Luongo dives into bench as Brad Marchand scores

It was a bit of a sleepy tilt today in Boston, as the Panthers slowly lost to Boston. By the end of the third, though, the crowd had woken up, had their NWHL-sponsoring Dunkin Donuts, and maybe had a few other beverages as well. It was 2-1, and the Bruins were buzzing. The crowd finally had figured out that 2011 Stanley Cup Losing goaltender Roberto Luongo was in net for the Florida Panthers. The chants had sleepily attempted to start, but now the combination of all of the above finally kicked in. With a scant few minutes left, the crowd was loud:

LUUUUUUOOOOOOOOONGOOO

LUUUUUUOOOOOOOOONGOOO

LUUUUUUOOOOOOOOONGOOO

Now, I'm not saying that this chased Luongo out of the net, because that would be ridiculous. It was the timing and the one goal deficit that I'm sure caused the coach to pull Luongo, not anything about him having flashbacks to it being 8 past Luongo or anything like that. He definitely didn't run crying to the bench. Anyhow, as soon as he got past the blue line, the Bruins got the puck, and he probably could have just run over Marchand at the bench if he had wanted to. Instead, he dove into the Panthers bench! It was amazing to see. The replays on TV don't do it justice, but here they are anyhow:

And this one includes Luongo on his slow and forlorn skate back into the net. Like so many sea wall walks in the summer of 2011. Here's the good stuff:
