Public Skate: 3rd Period - Panthers 0 Bruins 2

Bruins are suffocating the Panthers and Spooner soars.

Bob DeChiara-USA TODAY Sports

Ryan Spooner has two goals after his 2nd of the game on the powerplay. The Bruins hold a 20-13 shot advantage after 40 minutes, and despite the Panthers' 6 shots in the 2nd, they had no scoring chances for about 18 of the 20 minutes played. Scoring chances overall are marked as 13-4 for the Bruins.

One powerplay per team in this one, including a Rinaldo-Ekblad scrap that I'll take 100 times out of 100. Roberto Luongo has been spectacular despite his two goals allowed, stopping a ton of one-timers. Rask on the other hand hasn't been challenged a whole lot, but the saves he's made, he's made look easy.

And Jimmy Hayes returned to the ice to start the period, so it looks like Boston is at full strength heading into the final 20 minutes.

Time for the final 20!
