Game Notes:

Jordan Caron, former first round pick of the Bruins, returns 'home' to face his old friends. After being swapped for Maxime Talbot at the trade deadline last year, Caron moved on from the Colorado Avalanche to his new home in St. Louis. Ironically, Talbot will not be in the lineup because he was suspended two games for his hit to the head of Jiri Tlusty. Caron has yet to play in a game for the Blues. He was recalled from St. Louis' AHL affiliate, the Chicago Wolves, on December 20. In 25 contests with the Wolves, Caron notched 14 points.

The Bruins are red hot of late, gaining points in 14 of their last 15 games, including winning their past three. The Blues are three and two in their past five contests. St. Louis allowed two third period goals in a 4-3 loss to the Philadelphia Flyers on Monday night. This game is the last before Christmas for both teams.

The Bruins currently sit one game behind the Canadiens for first place in the Atlantic division with two games in hand. The Blues rest six points behind the Stars for the drivers seat in the Central division, and are tied with the Blackhawks for second place.
