-The Senators score, and score a lot. They rank fourth in the league in goals scored, with Norris trophy contender Erik Karlsson leading the way, pacing the team with 38 points in 35 games. Bobby Ryan and Mike Hoffman are both above the 30 point mark, while Mark Stone is knocking on the door of said accomplishment.

-Ottawa defends the Canadian Tire Centre well, posting a respectable 9-4-4 record on home ice. Ottawa is just 8-8-2 away from Canada's capital.

-The Senators currently reside in the second wild card spot in the Eastern Conference, and just two points behind the Bruins, yet the Bruins do have a game in hand.

-The Bruins enter tomorrow afternoon's contest with a chance to claim the crown of the Atlantic division (we've heard this before, haven't we?), trailing the Red Wings and Canadiens by a point each. Boston has a game in hand on Detroit and two on Montreal.
