2016 Winter Classic weather: Thursday looks dry, warmer

Checking weather for hockey?! Yes, checking weather for hockey.

Bob DeChiara-USA TODAY Sports

It's weird to be concerned about weather for a hockey game, but that's what the Winter Classic does to you.

Today's slate features team practices, the Women's Winter Classic and the Alumni Game. While you might think the main concerns for weather would be for tomorrow, the league has its eye on the weather today as well: weather that is too warm or wet could lead to the ice getting beaten up during today's later events, leading to potentially bad conditions for the main event tomorrow.

So, what do we have?

From Google Weather:

AccuWeather:

And from The Weather Channel:

Not too bad! Nothing that looks like it'd threaten the rain, and the chance of precipitation is nearly 0 across the board.

The plan: Bring a light coat, a hat and some gloves, but don't worry too much about bundling up. 44? Summer in New England!
