With Brad Marchand out three games, the Bruins need help on the wing. Apparently that help is coming from Providence, as Don Sweeney announced this morning that Alex Khokhlachev has been recalled, with Colin Miller being demoted down to the AHL.
Miller hasn't played since Dec. 26th. Khokhlachev was just sent back to Providence a week ago after a brief recall.
Marchand and Sweeney briefly addressed the media this morning prior to Bruins' practice at Gillette.
Neither had a ton to say. Marchand apologized for the whole "situation," seemingly referring to his own team: sorry for missing this game, leaving the team shorthanded, etc.
When asked by the Boston Globe's Amalie Benjamin how this latest incident contrasted with his previously stated desire to clean up his game, Marchand insisted that this was different, that he was just turning up the ice and never meant to hit Borowiecki.
