Elliot Friedman during the Saturday headlines with his broadcast buddy Damien Cox dropped the best news a women's hockey fan could ask for.

To say that this is a huge development and advancement for women's hockey is severely understating it. This is... :

- The first interleague women's hockey game

- The first time both teams have competed against each other

- The first time both leagues have ever gone outdoors for a game

I dunno about you, but this might finally be the big push moment for both leagues, and it's making me kick myself for not getting tickets to the Winter Classic ASAP.
