Confirming prior reports that Subban would be called up, the Bruins confirmed it today on Bruins.com. Calling Subban up after the 5:00 PM means that his cap hit is not factored into the Bruins daily cap hit. Its relatively meaningless, as the Bruins are using Long Term Injured Reserve, which does not let you "bank" the saved cap space that this move gives you.
Sportsnet's Elliote Friedman believes that Subban could be showcased in the Wednesday game against the Oilers, which makes sense given that there is no other reason to carry three goalies at this point.
