USA Hockey has announced the roster for the National Team Development Program Evaluation Camp. Massachusetts is in a 4-way tie for 3rd-most players from their state (with 4) and a 2-way tie for 5th-most players playing on teams in the state. The top three in each category goes Minnesota, Michigan, Pennsylvania. New England, all together, would be tied with Michigan for 2nd in hometowns, and in 3rd for . Minnesota still reigns supreme in teenagers who are good enough to make the 50-person roster, though a lot of that is Shattuck-St. Marys, which has 7 kids attending the camp.

Also of note, defenseman Quinn Hughes is from Mississauga, Ontario, and plays for the Toronto Marlboros Midget Minor. Works for me. Here are the kids from New England:

Position Name Hometown Previous Team

Defense Tommy Craft Hamden, Conn. Deerfield Academy (Conn.)
Defense Ben Mirageas Newburyport, Mass. Avon (Conn.) Old Farms School

Forward Marc McLaughlin North Billerica, Mass. Cushing Academy (Mass.)
