Need to know

The B's have gone from teetering on the brink of ninth place to within shouting distance of the suddenly slumping Detroit Red Wings. Their current five-game win streak has also seen them leap (technically) past the Caps and into seventh place. The teams have the same number of points and ROW (regulation + OT wins), but the B's are ahead by virtue of a game in hand.

The Caps have lost two in a row. Alex Ovechkin is still quite good at this sport of hockey. Barry Trotz is the head coach, and has alternated between having the Caps on fire and struggling. Let's hope the struggles continue tonight.
