3 on 3 overtime is (pending approval) a go! Who would you want to see in OT for the Bruins?

Greg M. Cooper-USA TODAY Sports

Fun news out of the NHL GM meetings today: pending approval from the NHLPA and Board of Governors, the NHL will be be making two major changes next year: a coaches' challenge and 3-vs-3 overtime. The potential hilarity of the coaches' challenge aside, everyone should get incredibly excited about those overtime changes.

Bruins fans were lucky enough to get a glimpse of what 3 on 3 OT might look like in last Thursday's game against Tampa, thanks to some untimely penalties; it was wide open and ridiculous. Imagine, for a second, the horror of Alex Ovechkin getting to work his magic with only three defenders to deal with. Imagine what the Bruins could do if they were prepared for it; a unit of Patrice Bergeron, Brad Marchand, and Dougie Hamilton, or David Krejci, Torey Krug, and David Pastrnak.

Sounds awesome.

The official format has yet to be decided on, and it looks like the options will either be to add 3-vs-3 to the end of the 4-vs-4 period or to just start overtime 3-vs-3. Which would you prefer? What other combinations of players would you like to see Claude roll with in a 3-vs-3 situation?
