The first game of the tournament was against the New Jersey Devil's prospects. The Bruins won it 4-3, with Frank Vatrano scoring the game winner just 12 seconds into the 3 on 3 OT. The goal scorers were Frank Vatrano (twice), Noel Accairi, and, in a stat line from Don Sweeney's dreams, Jakub Zboril from Jake DeBrusk and Zachary Senyshyn.
As for the second game, the Bruins started off the first period strong, outshooting the Sabres 11 - 5, and outscoring them 2 - 0 with powerplay goals from Frank Vatrano and Linus Arnesson.
It would be downhill from then on, with the Bruins sitting back and relying on goaltender Zane McIntyre, getting outshot 18 - 35 the rest of the game. McIntyre kept the game a lot closer than it should, with great saves on both Jack Eichel and William Carrier, only relinquishing the lead with 5:45 left in the third period on a nice pass on the powerplay from Jack Eichel to Brycen Martin. Eichel would then score the game winner in overtime.
Saves on Eichel and William Carrier
Vines of the Sabres goals can be found at the Sabres vine account.
For full Bruins stats of the prospect tournament, here is a sheet with both games, as well as a sortable total on the second sheet. The Devils uploaded a video of their game, I will update it if the Sabres do the same.
