The Bruins conducted an optional morning skate today instead of a formal practice. The B's have had two straight days of grueling, defensive orientated skates to build upon for their matchup with the Eastern conference leading Washington Capitals.

Notes:
-Joonas Kemppainen returned to practice and will be activated off of the injured reserve list.
-Zach Trotman and Colin Miller each work with members of the top six, with Joe Morrow and Kevan Miller as the seventh and eighth defensemen respectively.
-It appears as if Tuukka Rask will get the starting nod, as he did not attend the optional morning skate.
