The Basics:

Who: Boston Bruins (1-1-0, 2 pts) at Winnipeg Jets (1-1-0, 2 pts)

Where: MTS Centre, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Northern Hemisphere

When: 8 pm ET

Watch: NESN

Listen: 98.5 The Sports Hub

Game Notes:

  • Bruins deity Patrice Bergeron is still a possibility to play on Monday night; the potential appearance would mark his season debut.
  • Tuukka Rask is expected to return to the lineup Monday night, and Thank God, because the takes...holy hell the takes.
  • David Pastrnak has goals in consecutive games. He joins Brad Marchand and David Backes as the only Bruins players to score a goal. Here’s a quick thought: other players might want to chip in!
  • Danton Heinen and Austin Czarnik have a combined 2 shots on goal through the opening two games. Pastrnak leads all Bruins skaters with 14 shots on goal.
  • Rob O’Gara (42.59) and Torey Krug (43.33) are the lowest rated Bruins d-men in terms of CF%, while Czarnik (37.5) and Jimmy Hayes (38.64) are the lowest forwards. It’s only two games and these will likely jump in time. I just needed to add in some more information regarding the Bruins.
  • 2015 National Champion and Providence Friar alum Brandon Tanev cracked the Jets roster out of camp.
