This doesn’t speak well of the health of Tuukka Rask. Rask, remember, has come up awkward on saves to his left side on more than one occasion this season, most recently in Thursday’s win over the Devils.
McIntyre was already in Boston this morning:

In all likelihood, Rask is dealing with a tweak or a nagging minor injury, and the Bruins are giving him some time to let it heal fully.
Better to do that now, as opposed to leaving it alone and risking making the injury worse.
It’s unclear who will get the start tonight, but if McIntyre does get in the game, it will be the first NHL appearance of his career.
