One subplot of last night’s game that got a bit lost in the 5-2 drubbing was David Pastrnak’s hit on Dan Girardi.

Best look at Pastrnak’s hit on Girardi. Little bit high, but shouldn’t be suspension-worthy. pic.twitter.com/kbWCnU1vYv

I didn’t think much of it live, but apparently the league sees things differently:
Boston’s David Pastrnak will have a hearing tomorrow for charging/ illegal check to the head on NY Rangers’ Dan Girardi.

Huh.
The DOPS usually refers to it as an in-person hearing if that’s what it’s going to be, so this looks to be a phone conversation (meaning fewer than 5 games).
However, I’d be shocked if Pastrnak gets more than a game for this. He’s not a repeat offender, so even a “slap on the wrist” fine is probably in play here.
Thoughts?
