It’s the second-last preseason game for the Bruins! And the second time they’ll play the Blue Jackets. Then they play them again a week from today in the regular season opener.
I don’t know about you, but I’ve had enough John Tortorella this month.
Game notes
Where: Nationwide Arena Columbus, OH
When: 7 PM
How to listen: CBJ website
Rival SBN site: Jackets Cannon
Per Ty Anderson on Twitter, here’s the Bruins’ initial roster for tonight:

Doesn’t look like there’s going to be any stream of the game, be it online or on TV. If we find one, we’ll be sure to let you know.
Things to watch for tonight:
- If the roster above is accurate, looks like we’ll get a look at REMALDO tonight. I can’t imagine a scenario this season where Rinaldo gets meaningful ice time in more than a handful of games, with the Bruins having approximately 492 guys to fill the bottom six spots. Rinaldo is likely a Providence “character guy” this year.
- Tim Schaller had a strong debut in Montreal, and looks to be getting another shot to impress tonight. The Bruins are going to have some hard decisions to make about who gets cut and who sticks, which is a good problem to have.
- John Tortorella’s insistence on GRIT AND HEART AND MOXIE AND CARING AND EFFORT rivals that of the Bruins’ front office. Therefore, this game shall be called GRIT® BOWL 2016.
- The game isn’t on TV or anything, so it’s hard to get fired up about this one. Either way, Tortorella is the worst, so go Bruins.
EDIT (11:41 AM):
Via Tom Reed of the Columbus Dispatch, here’s a better look at both rosters:
