The Bruins beat the Blue Jackets tonight in Columbus, 2-1. Unless you were there, you didn’t see it.
How do you recap a game you didn’t see?
LET’S FIND OUT!
Matt Beleskey picks up his first goal of the preseason just after the PP expired, tipping in Colin Miller's blast from up top. 1-0 Boston.

NICE that’s a good start!
What a play by Jake DeBrusk up the right wing - cuts over, sauces a pass to Seth Griffith, who fires it past Bobrovsky stick side. 2-0

BOOM WAY TO INCREASE THE LEAD!
#NHLBruins heading back on the PK at 7:16 into the first. Bench minor: too many men.

Ah man, come on, Claude. You still have to count in the preseason.
CBJ scores (and the cannon goes off). 2-1 game with 13:11 left in the third. Brandon Saad on the PP cuts in off the rush & rips it 5-hole.

Wooooooo! We did it, everyone!
As far as actual analysis goes, it looks like Steve Conroy of the Herald and Fluto Shinzawa of the Globe were some of the only writers actually at the game.
Conroy had a good word on two of the Bruins’ young defensemen...
Carlo breaks up 2-on-1. Kid is pretty promising. O'Gara having a decent game, too

...as did Shinzawa.
To my eye, Brandon Carlo is just as ready for the NHL as Dougie Hamilton was in 2012.

Well that’s good.
In all seriousness, obviously this isn’t the best way to “cover” a game. However, there really aren’t any other options.
It’s a good thing there were two good beat writers there to offer at least a little bit of insight.
Saturday’s game brings us back to the civilized world with a 5 PM broadcast on NESN, and then it’s regular season time.
Hang in there!
