The Bruins will rest for a bit, returning to action on Thursday in Minnesota against the Wild at 8:00PM on NESN.

  • The Bruins barraged the Avalanche with shots, while Austin Czarnik looked great with Matt Beleskey and Riley NashTuukka Rask was impenetrable- he could point to no breakdowns in coverage, either- and his teammates in turn praised his performance. (With video) The Boston Globe
  • Last night's second period squashed the Avalanche, which was especially surprising this far along in a trying five game in seven nights stretch of action. WEEI
  • Joe Morrow and Sean Kuraly got in the game. A quiet night for David Pastrnak belied his scorching scoring numbers. Brandon Carlo's posse filled a box at the arena, and he and John-Michael Liles will have time to visit locally, as the team will rest in the Mile-High City for a bit. The Boston Globe

  • Looking back briefly at the Coyotes game on Saturday, the Bruins dodged a pair of injury bullets, and dominated at the faceoff circle in their win. WEEI
  • Meanwhile, in Providence Bruins action... It was Malcolm Subban for the win on Friday night over the Binghampton Senators. Providence Journal Apparently there was some uniform confusion, and both Subban and Chris Breen went after a Senator who made hard contact with the PBruin netminder. Silver Sevens Danton Heinen's was the only PBruins goal on Saturday in Wilkes-Barre, the Penguins scored three (including an empty netter) for the win. Providence Journal
