Who To Watch

  • Patrick Laine has been as advertised thus far, potting 12 goals for the Jets and 17 points overall.
  • Actually, the whole Nikolaj Ehlers (4-13-17) - Mark Scheifele (10-12-22, leading team in points)- Laine unit has been one to watch, if not actually contain.
  • Jacob Trouba’s contract situation was finally resolved, though he’s yet to really heat up in the four games he’s played.
  • Dustin Byfuglien is still the lynchpin of the ‘Peg defensive core, and has poured 51 SOG so far this season.
  • Blake Wheeler has continued to score a lot of points and be offsides a lot. Look for him to score a point tonight and be offsides a few times.

Game notes

  • Tuukka Rask seems to be starting yet again, David Pastrnak has an upper body injury an won’t play. Heavens.
  • B’s lines in morning skate were unchanged from yesterday’s units. B’s defensive pairings were Chara-Carlo, Krug-McQuaid, Morrow-Liles, Miller-Miller.
  • Michael Hutchinson has the start tonight in net for the Jets.
