We received well over 100 entries in the contest, from Facebook posts to comments here.
The winner, of course, would have to be someone who chose David Backes, the former Blue who scored #20,000 last night.
After all was said and done, more than a dozen people correctly picked Backes.
Our winner is:
John Tobin, who picked Backes via Twitter.
If you are John Tobin, shoot me an email somehow confirming you are, in fact, you (who are we all, really?): bruinshockeynow[at]gmail is where you can reach me.
In the interest of transparency, here’s how it went down:
- All those who picked Backes were dumped into a spreadsheet and assigned a number.
- A random number generator was used three times; those whose number came up were placed in a separate pool with new numbers.
- A random number generator was used again on those three to determine the winner.
Oddly enough, John Tobin was the first person picked in the first group. IT’S FATE!
Anyways, congrats to John, and thanks to all of you who entered (and of course to Ballpark Blueprints).
We’ll try to do some more stuff like this in the future.
Remember, you can take 16% off your order at Ballpark Blueprints by using the code SBNATION16.
