Game Notes

-Zdeno Chara will miss his first game of the season, after leaving early in the second period of Tuesday’s loss to the St. Louis Blues.

-Kevan Miller cleared just in time for Chara’s absence. At press time, pairings were TBD; watch for updates here and on Twitter later today regarding game-day skate lines. It’s likely him or Joe Morrow.

-David Pastrnak was also cleared to play in this game, and unlike Killer, it’d be a(n unpleasant) surprise NOT to see him suit up for this game.

-The Ottawa Senators are coming off a 4-3 win over Montreal on Tuesday night, a game they could’ve lost 3-2 if it weren’t for a weird (smart?) lob-pass behind Carey Price that resulted in a misread by the Montreal defense and a tough-angle, double-screened shot that went in off a Montreal skate in the 3rd period.

-One of our counterparts at Silver Nuggets put together this piece, detailing some points of concern with fancy stats. Give it a read - you’ll see how the Bruins might stack against them, given some offensive struggles of key players in their lineup. An up-and-down season so far for both teams could make for an interesting American Engorgement Day matchup.

Enjoy your Thanksgiving Day and we’ll see you at game time!
