Bruins vs Lightning Highlights: Shock to Their System

Jimmy Hayes scores, another defenseman down, it’s a wild world!

Well, they did it. After losing 4 of their last 5, the Bruins took an imposing Lightning team to task, 4-1. Here’s how it went down.

As already written, JM Liles went down pretty hard early in the first. The Bruins announced it was an upper body injury injury and he did not return to the game.

Later in the first, Krug and Kucherov had some fisticuffs. Krug now has a point in every game he has fought in (he should totally keep fighting).

Dominic Moore got the B’s on the board on a slam dunk in the second period.

After a cacophony of chaos to determine whose goal this was, David Backes was awarded his 5th tally of the year.

The world seemingly (if not literally) exploded when Jimmy Hayes got his first goal since February 24th vs the Penguins.

They kept pouring it on, as David Pastrnak added his 13th goal of the season (we love you Pasta).

Hedman got Tampa Bay on the board late thanks to Colin Miller’s skate. It’s the 4th time this month that Tuukka has had a shutout with less than 5 minutes in the game and the team couldn’t hold it.

The B’s play Tuesday night in Philadelphia against the Flyers next.
