Preview: Boston travels to Montreal, hope to not get blown the hell out

The Canadiens have been the Bruins daddy for a while now, and it’d be nice if that would end.

The Basics:

Who: Boston Bruins (7-5-0) at Montreal Canadiens (10-1-1)

Where: Some dump in Montreal, Quebec

When: 7:30 pm

Watch: NESN, RDS

Listen: 98.5 The Sports Hub

Game Notes:

  • Fourth line right wing Noel Acciari left Monday nights game in the third period. He appeared to be favoring his left leg. The Bruins have yet to issue an update regarding whether or not he’ll be available for tonights game.
  • Matt Beleskey tallied his first point of 2016-2017 Monday night, assisting on Brad Marchand’s power play goal. David Krejci ended his scoring drought as well, scoring his first goal of the year midway through the second period.
  • Montreal is off to a hot start — despite getting their doors blown off in Columbus — and is ahead of the pack in the Atlantic division. Below them, seven teams are separated by just 3 points.
  • Claude Julien noted in his postgame press conference last night that he hadn’t decided on a starting goaltender for tonights game. Though, don’t be surprised if the B’s turn to Rask for the second half of a tough back-to-back, following his 32 save shutout against Buffalo.
  • Both teams are 4-1-0 over their last 5 games.
  • In their only prior meeting, Montreal handed Boston a frustrating 4-2 defeat at TD Garden on October 22nd.

Never Forget:

Sporps. Nice.
