The Bruins are having trouble scoring this season, that’s not a question. Despite winning their bout yesterday afternoon 1-0 versus the Kings, scoring 1 goal won’t be enough for every game. With their leading goalscorer in Pasta out for at least one more game, the B’s seem to be in dire straits. Luckily, a solution to their scoring troubles may be coming soon.
Frank Vatrano played for the P-Bruins this weekend after being cleared to play from his foot surgery back on September 26th. He had two goals in two games, including this game-tying tally on Friday night against the Bridgeport Sound Tigers.

Projo’s Mark Divver can’t see a situation where Vatrano doesn’t get called up some time today.
With 6 shots & EN goal, Frank Vatrano's pace much better today. Can't imagine he won't be recalled before NHL roster freeze at midnight Mon.

As he notes, the holiday roster freeze starts at midnight Monday night/Tuesday morning. There’s a provision in that freeze that you can bring players up from the AHL but can’t send anyone from the NHL roster down. Unless there’s an open spot for Vatrano to slot in (which there doesn't appear to be), a move is going to have to be made today if the East Longmeadow, Mass. native in Boston until at least December 28th. We all wait with bated breath to see where Frankie will end up by tonight!
UPDATE: The Bruins officially recalled Frank four minutes after I published this. Welcome back, Frankie V!
