Zach Senyshyn, Charlie McAvoy and Bruins Prospects invited to the World Juniors

Bright young stars recognized to play for their country...maybe?

The World Junior Championships are slotted for December 26th through January 5th, and several Boston Bruins hopefuls plan to make their way to Montreal and Toronto to represent their home countries.

Defense Prospects Charlie McAvoy (Boston University) and Ryan Lindgren (University of Minnesota) will hope to represent the Boston faithful as well as the United States. Both McAvoy and Lindgren were selected in 2016, and were a 1st and 2nd round pick respectively.

For Canada, defense prospect Jeremy Lauzon and Zach Senyshyn have been invited. Lauzon has been attempting to re-adjust his game from an injury, and would like to make a big impression. Senyshyn meanwhile has been productive as a forward for Sault Ste. Marie in the OHL with 17 points in 21 games.

Training camp for the US begins on Dec. 16 to the 20th in Buffalo, then they go to Oshawa, from Dec. 20th to Christmas Eve. The US plans to have a completed Roster by the end of the second camp. In that final camp, they play some pre-tournament games. Training camp for the Canadians begins in one week.

We hope that these gentlemen do their country proud and stay on for the whole tournament!
