Bruins vs. Red Wings 2/14/16: Lines and Preview!

Fun times in De-troit Agaiin! (STILL DE-TROIT!)

Rick Osentoski-USA TODAY Sports

THE TIME: 3:30pm EST (for some reason)

THE PLACE: Joe Louis Arena, Hell on Earth, Michigan

THE OPPOSING SBNATION BLOG: Winging It In Motown

WHERE TO WATCH: NBC, TVAS

WHERE TO LISTEN: 98.5FM in Boston

THE STAKES: 2 points and sole control of second place in the Atlantic division (for now). And with Florida's loss last night, they inch closer to contending for first in the division.

THE PREVIEW: The Bruins have a pretty commanding lead in the season series versus the Red Wings with 2-0. Every time the Bruins have played this particular team however, it's never been just a business as usual game. Their most recent game was a hot mess of bad performance that the Bruins were lucky to get a win out of thanks to a shitload of puck luck and a Frank Vatrano heat seeker. In the previous game, they had a much more dominant performance where three players scored in the 2nd period and practically dared Detroit to come back. Which they didn't.

However, this is game 2 without Patrice Bergeron involved, so who knows how this could shake out against a Detroit team that might feel a bit robbed having lost to the constantly struggling Avs in overtime. This is especially important tonight as Detroit is but ONE POINT behind Boston as of right now. Can the Bruins go Three and Zero in the season series and take full control of 2nd? Tune in to find out!

PLAYERS TO FOLLOW:

Brad Marchand! He has been a player possessed lately. He's sitting on an amazing 12 goals in 12 games streak!

Not exactly a player, but Claude Julien just won his 500th NHL game! Congrats, coach!

Also Dylan Larkin is like 12 years old and scores a shitload of goals so keep a look out for him.

NEVER 4GET:

The Asswhupping of a series that probably created all that salt over at WIIM. Also, Jonas Gustavsson in the playoffs!
