Projected Lines! Islanders vs. Bruins - 3/12/16

With a matinee game, there's no morning skate. Therefore, we're using yesterday's rushes to take a look at who's going to be on the ice this afternoon.

Yesterday the Bruins took the ice at Ristuccia in Wilmington and had some notable differences. Patrice Bergeron was given the day off, later confirmed as a "maintenance" day" by Claude Julien, and Tyler Randell skated in his place. Otherwise, the forward grouping remained the same. Meanwhile on D, four pairings rolled out, remaining largely the same from last game against Carolina.

Zach Trotman skated alongside Kevan Miller, who is currently a game-time decision for today's game against New York. Miller has been battling a shoulder injury for the last week, and may get some extra rest before the team travels out to the West Coast. Chris Kelly once again skated, but has no timeline for a return. Tuukka Rask is expected to start in net.

The new-look New York Islanders will be playing their 2nd game without Jaroslav Halak, with back-up Thomas Greiss slated to get the start in net. But aside from Greiss and the recently-acquired Shane Price, the Islanders are pretty close to what they threw at the Bruins back in October.

The main differences come on Defense. Injuries to Calvin de Haan and Marek Zidlicky have forced the Isles to skate Ryan Pulock and Brian Strait on their 3rd pairing. The Bruins will try to exploit the shaky bottom pairing, since having Leddy, Boychuk, Hamonic and Hickey on the ice gives them a strong Top 4.
