With the first period in the books, the Bruins take a 1-0 lead into the 2nd Period. Loui Eriksson scored his 26th goal of the year with assists from Ryan Spooner and Torey Krug. Eriksson now ties the team lead with 10 power-play goals on the season, and Krug extends his lead in power-play assists with 15.

Shots are 14-5 in favor of Boston, after being tied 4-4 with about 12 minutes to go in the period. Matt Beleskey leads the team with 3 shots on goal himself, as the 3rd Line of Beleskey-Spooner-Hayes has created some good scoring chances.

The Bruins now face the 2nd Period with the longer change, so we'll see if the Islanders speed creates problems for Boston's defense.
