Game Notes:

- Tuukka Rask was absent from practice yesterday, prompting the Bruins to recall goaltender Jeremy Smith from Providence.

- Frank Vatrano has his permission slip signed, and is heading on yet another Bruins field trip. Hopefully he'll crack the lineup this time.

- The Bruins have lost three games in a row, and are 5-3-2 in their last 10 games. The Rangers are not playing much better, slumping to a 4-4-2 mark over their last 10.

- Rangers deadline acquisition Eric Staal has just 1 goal and 2 assists in 11 games with his new club. Expect those numbers to increase following a few soft goals from Jonas Gustavsson tonight.

- The Bruins still haven't recalled Colin Miller, and I'm starting to get pissed.
