Projected Lines! Bruins vs. Leafs

With Liles out, questions arise on the defensive end.

With the morning skate underway, the projected lines are out for tonight's game between the Boston Bruins and Toronto Maple Leafs. For Boston, the usual tweaks in the forward group are expected. The revolving door on the 4th line between Randell, Vatrano, and Connolly will continue to be a game-time decision. But my money is on Vatrano, who has points in back-to-back games since being called back up from the AHL.

On defense, it's a much bigger question, as either Joe Morrow or Zach Trotman will be replacing John-Michael Liles, who didn't travel with the team and will seemingly be out for the next four games. Morrow is currently taking rushes, plus has more experience with Seidenberg, who was on Liles' left before Thursday night's game against Florida, so look for him to get the nod on sheer familiarity alone.

For Toronto, they're hopeful for some returning skaters to the lineup. Brad Boyes, Leo Komarov, Peter Holland and Nikita Soshnikov are all questionable for tonight's game, returning from various injuries sustained over the last few weeks. Brad Boyes is the most likely to return, and would replace Leivo on the 3rd line.

The defensive core is likely unchanged from Thursday's win over the Anaheim Ducks, while goaltender Jonathan Bernier should be returning to the crease after a night off. Bernier is 3-4-0 against Boston with an. 896 SV% and 3.57 GAA.
