THE PREVIEW:

The Devils are boring.

Boring as all get out. The way the New Jersey Devils play hockey (more often than not utilizing Neutral Zone Trap) is as boring and low-risk and dull and it has been this way for the better part of a decade or two.

Can't say it didn't work. Just not this year. The Devils have generally been middling since the Bruins last played them and have had some wildly inconsistent results. Lost by 6 against Anaheim, win against Minnesota by 4. Get shut out by possession black hole Colorado, hold the East's leading team to OT. But the key factor in this is that they can never make these consistent results. And in spite of having arguably one of the best goaltenders in the league and banner years by Kyle Palmieri and Adam Henrique, more often than not they lose. A lot. And they've lost both their games against Boston.

Of course, that isn't to say the Bruins can perhaps start slow. The win against Toronto was great, but the 10 points they could've had prior hurt a lot not to get. Now they have to beat the Devils and they have to do it in regulation. No more screwing around. And with the theoretical loss of Ryan Spooner, things can seem a little tenuous. Hopefully it's a minor Day-to-Day thing and he's back before you know it.

Can the Bruins take down the Devils and solidify their playoff position? Tune in to find out!

NEVER 4GET:

The Devils are still boring as hell and should've tanked this year.

Also get well, Spoonman!
