During pre-game warmups, Blues defenseman Kevin Shattenkirk decided he liked Boston a lot better than St. Louis and traded himself to the Bruins for a handshake from Don Sweeney. Sweeney negotiated and counter-offered two handshakes and a 2nd-round pick, and the deal was made. We now how a solid defense.
APRIL FOOLS.
Now that that's out of the way, the Bruins face the reality of going up against of the best teams in the league on their home ice. Despite losing 4 of their last 5 games on the road, the Bruins away record (24-12-3) is still better than the Blues record at home (23-11-5). They'll need some of that road magic as they look to stay ahead of the Detroit Red Wings, who'll have their own Central match-up tonight against the Minnesota Wild.
Make like a tree, and BELIEVE.
