Public Skate: 3rd Period - Bruins 5 Blues 2

New, comments

No April Fools. The Bruins have scored 5 goals so far in this game. And it ain't over.

Two in the 1st. Three in the 2nd.... Four in the 3rd?

Boston saw the St. Louis Blues tie it up early in the 2nd after Paul "how old am I really?" Stastsstsny scored on the backhand after the puck was loose near the side of the net. Beleskey scored his 15th of the year four minutes later off an offensive zone faceoff, and grabs his 2nd point of the night to put the Bruins back on top.

Frank Vatrano circled the zone like a shark before coming back in towards the slot, and took a nice saucer pass from Lee Stempniak and turned it into a rifle of a goal. The Bruins added another goal late in the period when David Krejci took a puck out high on the powerplay and wristed it by a couple tangled bodies in front, putting the Bruins up 5-2 after 40 minutes. Krejci has two points on the night, along with Beleskey and Liles.

A scary moment early on when David Pastrnak came down on his right leg trying to avoid a Shattenkirk hit, but returned to the game halfway through the period. The Blues will also have 48 seconds of powerplay time to start the 3rd Period after an ugly hit to the head of Scottie Upshall by Bruins forward Lee Stempniak. Upshall stayed in the game.
