Providence Bruins come back from being down 4-1, prolong the inevitable

IT WAS FOUR TO ONE... and they blew it

AHL Live

With their season on the line, the Providence Bruins didn't play like it, finding themselves down 4 - 1 heading into the third period, and things didn't look very promising. However, the hole they dug was too big to get out of, as they fell in overtime.

Then 2:22 into the third period, Chris Breen scored to cut the lead to two, with assists going to Seth Griffith and Chris Casto.

Tommy Cross would cut the lead to one with a powerplay blast about three minutes later, and the Bruins were back within one.

Austin Czarnik kept the comeback going, firing the Alex Khokhlachev pass by Casey DeSmith with just under four minutes left in the game

Jake Guentzel would finish off his strong series with the game winner in double OT, off of the pass from veteran Tom Kostopoulos, and the P Bruins drop 3 straight in OT to end the Providence Bruins season.
