Max Talbot was back up from Providence, skating with the Bruins at practice Wednesday. Connolly (who is still "day to day", according to Julien) was also on the ice.
The team didn't seem to feel the weight of their current situation, skating for only about 25 minutes before most of them left the ice. David Pastrnak was all smiles (as usual) and Talbot seemed genuinely happy just to be back up in Boston. Jonas Gustavsson, however, appeared to be fully aware of the effort that needs to be put into the goaltending for Thursday's game. Staying out for another half hour at least, he did his best to stop every puck shot his way. Getting frustrated, and missing a few in a row, he took it out on the post, breaking his stick.
After a moment of cooling off, he stepped off the ice and gave his broken stick to a 3 year old spectator, who excitedly announced that he wants to be a goalie when he grows up.
