Rumors comprise the bulk of today’s Bruins news.

  • Kevin Shattenkirk’s name just keeps coming up as a trade target for Don Sweeney, and this may also dovetail into the Blues’ interest in Loui Eriksson. Hockeybuzz Would it surprise you that the Oilers have also expressed interest in the Blues player? Today’s Slapshot
  • In other moves involving defensemen the Bruins might have targeted, Keith Yandle and Alex Goligoski both had their rights traded, and not to the Bruins. WEEI There is still buzz that Yandle remains interested in Boston. New York Post
  • The Predators have traded the negotiating rights to Jimmy Vesey to the Sabres. There are reasons why Buffalo may be an attractive destination for him.
