Are the Bruins going Backes in the future?

According to Uncle Bob, the Blues have failed in their attempt to re-sign their captain, David Backes, and the Bruins might be one of the teams trying to sign him this afternoon.

Looks like David Backes going to market. STL took a run at re-signing him this morning. BOS significant interest in Backes.

Backes was a top-liner for much of the last few years in STL, often playing with Alex Steen, TJ Oshie before he was traded to the Capitals, and Patrik Berglund since the move. He puts up decent numbers; if his cap hit isn't too high, this could be a move that is loved in Boston.
