Friday, September 23rd marked the beginning of training camp for the Boston Bruins at their new (and very sunny) location, the Warrior Ice Arena in Brighton, MA. The practices are being run by assistant coaches Bruce Cassidy, Jay Pandolfo, Joe Sacco and Kevin Dean, while head coach Claude Julien helps coach Team Canada at the World Cup of Hockey in Toronto.

With veterans Zdeno Chara, Patrice Bergeron, Brad Marchand, and Tuukka Rask also missing camp to participate in the World Cup, surely things felt a bit different in this new facility, but the players’ performance on the ice did not show any hesitation.

Having just returned from playing in the World Cup of Hockey, David Pastrnak arrived at the beginning of the second session, but did not join the group on the ice. Instead, he wandered the halls of the giant new building, asking various fans where he is supposed to go. Classic Pasta.

Also missing from practice was Frank Vatrano, reportedly out with a lower body injury.

Both David Krejci and Torey Krug returned to the ice after spending the summer recovering from surgeries.

Krug and Beleskey led the stretch after the first session. Krejci led after the 2nd.
