The NHL All-Star Game, whatever you may think of it, is above all else an acknowledgement of who is widely accepted to be the best players in the NHL.
This year, the Bruins’ very own Brad Marchand and Tuukka Rask are on the roster.
By some weird quirk, Rask has never been in an All-Star Game, despite perennially being at the top of the league in goaltender stats; Marchand is finally being acknowledged as the great player he is. He currently sits in 20th in the league in total points, with 13 goals and 22 assists.
They’ll have to deal with Michael Therrien as their coach and Carey Price as their captain, which....weird.
The NHL All-Star Game is Sunday, January 29th; the skills competition will be held on Saturday, January 28th.
