Brad Marchand’s punishment for his dumb move on Niklas Kronwall has been carried out:
Boston’s Brad Marchand fined $10,000, the maximum allowable under the CBA, for a dangerous trip on Detroit’s Niklas Kronwall.— NHL Player Safety (@NHLPlayerSafety) January 26, 2017
...Huh. That’s a bit lenient.
Well. I guess that’s settled then. Marchand gives up the dough, still plays in the ASG, and will likely play tonight against Pittsburgh.
Do you think he got what he deserved? Do you think Player Safety was too lenient?
Personally? I’m AMAZED he didn’t get a game or two. Kronwall and Detroit fans in general should be livid (which definitely will make our social media feeds more interesting to watch during games but still).
